Traveling to the Destination

All attendees and guests traveling to Costa Rica must have a valid U.S. Passport Book and a REAL ID-compliant driver's license (or other TSA-approved identification).

We strongly recommend that your passport remain valid for at least six months beyond your return date to avoid potential travel disruptions. If you need a new passport or renewal, please begin the process early as global processing times vary.

Notice from the United States Department of Homeland Security:

Beginning May 7, 2027, every domestic air traveler must present a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, state-issued enhanced license, or another acceptable form of identification (such as a valid passport) to clear TSA checkpoints within the United States.
